Thayers Brook lies on private property, and access is very limited. One area that is open to the public is the Wild Duck Preserve, a Wilton open space on Wild Duck Road, off Thayer Pond Road. The source of Thayers Brook is located about two miles due west of Wilton Center. From there, the brook flows south into Thayers Pond, then further south into Parting Brook, which continues another mile south to the Silvermine River.
