Silvermine Pond

The portion of the Silvermine River that lies directly northeast of the center of New Canaan is a particularly quiet, hilly region with many small, private ponds. A typical pond, which happens to front onto Huckleberry Hill Road, is Silvermine Pond. It is held in place by a dam that is reportedly 25 feet high. The main tributaries at this point are Poorhouse Brook, Parting Brook, and Thayers Brook.
